Artist
blacksmith Ian Gill
Ian has
been creating contemporary sculptures for the last decade. The mediums in
which he works with are metal, wood and stone. His inspiration comes from
nature and organic forms. The pieces he produces are mostly abstract non
figurative, with his more recent works being incorporated with plant forms
and figures. Ian has a natural eye for design and proportion. He trained
at Hereford College of art and design, from which he has also earnt himself
certificates of merit from the worshipful company of blacksmiths. Ian now
has pieces of his works at various outlets which can be purchased. Commissioned
work is also undertaken, where Ian will work closely with his client, to
create the exact piece of work for its environment.
